#COVID19: Dubai announces guidelines for musicians, DJs & entertainers

Dubai Tourism (DTCM) and the Government of Dubai have issued new live entertainment guidelines for restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools and common areas within the emirate’s hotels, allowing for solo performers, in adherence with a set criteria.

The guidelines apply to all entertainers that would normally (and continue) to require a permit from DTCM, such as musicians, DJs and miscellaneous other stage performances. Single entertainers may perform in the places outlined, but the permit excludes bars, nightclubs and dancefloors, and group performers (such as bands) are not allowed at this time.
All performers must wear masks at all times.
Crowding of spectators and dancing are not permitted, nor are moving head or flashing lights, or anything that creates a clubbing ambience, and entertainers or performers should perform on a dedicated stage only, avoiding physical interaction with the audience.
Operators should adhere to all existing guidelines on sanitisation, disinfection and hygiene measures, and are reminded that bar counter stools are not permitted to be used by guests, and all indoor sports activities such as pool tables and darts should follow Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Municipality guidelines.
