#Jakarta: Passenger plane, Lion Air JT 610 crashes this a.m after take-off in Indonesia killing 188 people on board

Indonesian authorities say 188 people were on board a Lion Air passenger plane that crashed into the sea near Jakarta.

Indonesian investigators are examining debris from Lion Air flight JT 610, which crashed into the sea off the capital, Jakarta, on Monday morning.
The plane was carrying 181 passengers, as well as six crew members and two pilots.
The Lion Air aircraft crashed about 13 minutes after taking off for Indonesia. It is not clear how many people were on board (pictured is the plane)
