Israeli Prime Minister’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, to be indicted for fraud

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is to be indicted for fraud charges over alleged spending irregularities totaling more than $110,000 at the PM’s residence, Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced Friday.
Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, tours the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.
Mrs. Netanyahu allegedly used state funds to order catering and dining services and then hid that spending. Investigators have been looking into the case for more than two years. In a statement posted on Facebook on Friday, the PM himself called the charges “absurd and will be proven to be baseless.”
