Emirates cancels some flights to the U.S due to #HurricaneIrma

Emirates Airlines has cancelled its flights flying to and from Fort Lauderdale today and tomorrow due to Hurricane Irma.

The airline released a statement on its site, informing travellers of the cancellation of flights from September 9-11. 

The statement says: 
"We are monitoring the situation closely, and aim to give customers as much notice as possible if there are any further changes to our operations. 
"Affected Passengers are advised to contact their travel agents or respective Emirates call centres for assistance, ticket rebooking and cancellation, and check the status of their flight below."
