Regina Askia was at the just concluded African Women's summit organised by Kemi Otegbade at the United Nations. Also in attendance were Ara, the only female talking drum performer in Africa, Ambassador Habib et al. Regina won the meritorious award for work towards emancipating and empowering the African woman and girl child.
