Three firsts! Prince George takes his first steps in public unaided in his first official portrait released Saturday in commemoration of the little guy's first birthday. The heir to the throne turns one on Tuesday, July 22.
Prince William and Duchess Kate's first born can be seen walking on his own with his arms out for balance at the "Sensational Butterflies" exhibition at the Natural History Museum on July 2. Decked out in striped overalls teamed with a navy polo shirt and leather Early Days Alex Pre-Walker shoes, it's clear why the tiny royal was named best dressed member of the royal family just last month.
Now this might be the first time the public has witnessed Prince George walk, but proud dad Prince William told reporters last week: "George is charging around and opens doors... he's lovely."
Two more official portraits were released Monday, each taken by John Stillwell when Prince George visited the exhibit (the Duchess of Cambridge is Patron of the Natural History Museum) with his parents earlier this month. The tot and Duchess Kate and Prince William can be seen admiring the beautiful butterflies at the museum showcase, with a curious little George getting up close and personal with one landing on dad's hand.
On the big day reports are circulating that Duchess Kate will be throwing a Peter Rabbit-themed party at their Kensington Palace home with the royal and Middleton families in attendance.
