Here are pictures of various leaders throughout Arab and Islamic nations.
Picture dated 23 November 1977 of Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat (1918-1981) at the Tel Aviv airport. Sadat became president in October 1970 and sought settlement of the conflict with Israel and met with Israeli Premier Menahem Begin in Jerusalem in 1977 and at Camp David, USA in 1978. They both were awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978 for their attempt to find a solution of the Middle East conflict. Following critics by other Arab statemen and hard-line Muslims, he was assassinated in Cairo by extremists in1981.

Following the formation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1932 and served as Premier under King Saud. In 1964, Faisal was named regent and, a few months later in the same year, became king. King Faisal was reigning from 1967 to 1975.

On the death of King Muhammad in February 1961 the Prince ascended the throne as King Hassan II.
