Otedola was born on the 16th July 1926 into a Muslim family at Odoragunsin, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State.
He was the governor of Lagos between January 1992 and 18 November 1993.
He is the father of oil and gas billionaire, Femi Otedola.
Sir Otedola died at the age of 87.
