If you want to keep up with Rihanna’s fascinating life on social media, stick to her Twitter and Facebook accounts. The pop superstar is not messing with Instagram right now.
Following a spat over topless photos she posted last month, the 26-year-old singer has confirmed that she ditched the photo sharing site. With the fake account BADGALRIRI_AGAIN attracting 47,000 followers, the "Diamonds" singer took to her Twitter page to dismiss the belief that she was back on IG.
"#PHAKE!!!! Let's be clear, I do NOT have an IG account," Rihanna wrote in a caption underneath an image of the imposter account.
The drama with IG started after the singer posted topless and bottomless images from her cover shoot with French publication Lui magazine. Her account, which boasted over 12 million followers, was subsequently shut down less than a week later. Instagram denied they nixed the account because of the explicit flicks, instead blaming human error.
“We briefly disabled the account by mistake and restored it quickly," rep Alison Schumer said.
Rihanna's official Instagram page is currently blank with two simple messages, "User not found" and "No posts yet." We're certain that her followers (ourselves included) are ready to see this beef come to an end.
Errrrr, did you quit, Rihanna or you were BANNED???
