Video & Photos: Land Rover Designs Its Next Discovery SUV Bonnet To Be See-Through

Land Rover has taken the wraps off a new Transparent Bonnet concept that uses Augmented Reality (AR) to give you a better view of the road.

The Land Rover Transparent Bonnet Concept uses cameras which are mounted in the vehicles grille, it then displays what the cameras can see on the bonnet of the vehicle, have a look at the video below, there is also a heads up display. Land Rover will be showing off this new Transparent Bonnet Concept in their new Discovery Vision Concept at the 2014 New York International Auto Show.

The technology enables a driver climbing a steep incline or manoeuvring in a confined space to see an augmented reality view capturing not only the terrain in front of the car but also the angle and position of the front wheels.
