News Update: Hammer attack on 3 women visiting London from the UAE, suspects to appear in court

Three men and a woman will appear in court in connection with a hammer attack on three Emirati women at a London hotel. The four will appear at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday after being formally charged on Friday last week.
Khuloud Al Najjar, 36, and her sisters Ohoud, 34, and Fatima, 31, were attacked in their hotel room on the seventh floor of the Cumberland Hotel in central London between 1am and 2am on April 7 by a man wielding a hammer.
The UK’s Metropolitan Police said that one victim remains in a critical condition, while two others are injured but in a stable condition.
Philip Spence, 32, is charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated burglary.
Thomas Efremi, 56, is charged with handling stolen goods and fraud by false representation.
James Moss, 33, is charged with handling stolen goods. After being formally charged last week, they have been remanded into custody.
A fourth, female suspect, Carly Baker, 31 was charged with handling stolen goods. She appeared on Tuesday at Westminster Magistrates Court, and was referred to Southwark Crown Court, where she will appear with the others on Thursday.
All four are British nationals.
A fifth suspect, a 34-year-old man, has been bailed.
