News, Photos & Video: Jennifer Hudson Buys Her Assistant A House For Xmas

The "Dreamgirls" actress and Weight Watchers spokesperson, Jennifer Hudson gifted her longtime personal assistant and friend from childhood, Walter, with a house for Christmas, and his reaction was absolutely priceless! During an interview with 'Advocate' in 2011, Hudson revealed she had known Williams since the sixth grade, and that he was her “closest friend.”
The 32-year-old singer’s childhood friend Walter Williams jumped for joy after Jen handed him the details of his new pad. Sharing the chaotic footage on Instagram, the Dreamgirls star said: ‘My assistant Walter’s reaction when he found out I was buying him a house for Christmas!’
The pair have known each other since they were children, with Williams supporting her following the death of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew, who were murdered by her sister’s estranged husband in 2008. In 2009, she told how Williams had been encouraging her to sing outside of church from eighth grade.
She told Time Out Chicago: ‘He was like, “I’m gonna be your manager.” I was like, “Boy, please.”‘
