News: "I can never return my engagement ring because I worked hard for it"- Toke Makinwa

This is really funny like seriously?. In September last year, Toke Makinwa was on Moments with Mo where they were discussing engagements and rings and the ladies there were deliberating whether to give back an engagement ring if the marriage doesn't go through or to keep it . On the episode which aired last night , when asked what she would do if her wedding didn't occur….Toke who was a guest said:

"I would rather give it to a jeweler to turn it into earrings than return it  because I worked hard all those years for it"

She broke up with her fiance Maje in December, so my guess is she stuck to her words. They were together for 12 years and she said their reason for not getting married was their busy schedules.

My question now is errrrrrr....what do you mean by you 'worked hard all those years for it' Toke?
