News: The real reason Kokomaster D'banj cancelled this year's Koko Concert

Contrary to D'Banj's claim on Twitter that he had to cancel this year's Koko Concert because of the Madiba Legacy Concert organized by EbonyTV, a spill-the-bean artiste manager in a chat with NigerianTribune, described D'banj's reason as a lie.

According to the unnamed manager, who NigerianTribune says his artiste is one of the hottest acts right now:

"D’Banj had admitted to my artiste that he was having problems getting a sponsor and would not hold the concert if his attempts at getting one fails. He spent a lot of money in bringing Idris Elba and others to the country last year and does not want to do so alone this year. So, when I read on Twitter that he said he was cancelling the concert to honour Mandela, I just laughed at the PR-driven lie."
