News: Did you know that Beyoncé is not Mrs Carter but JayZ is Shawn KNOWLES-Carter?

                              

Beyonce tours the world as Mrs. Carter but is still Mrs Beyoncé KNOWLES, while hubby Jay Z actually took HER last name, KNOWLES? Oh yes he did!!!

Jay Z
Well, he hyphenated her name with his. So, the rapper is now legally known as SHAWN KNOWLES-CARTER. The couple decided on the name change because Beyoncé does not have any brothers and they wanted to keep her family name going.
Jay Z is not the first to break tradition, however.

Jack White
When The White Stripes frontman Jack White married his first wife Meg back in 1996, he changed his last name to hers. But it became strange when people confused the singer and drummer as siblings!
After their divorce in 2000, Jack opted to keep her name. He married and divorced a second time, without a name change.

John Lennon
This isn’t a modern trend necessarily. John Lennon did it back in 1969!
The Beatles superstar decided since his wife Yoko Ono changed her name for him,  he would reciprocate the gesture.
At the time of his death, his legal name was John Winston Ono Lennon.

Lorenzo Lamas
Soap actor Lorenzo Lamas also hyphenated his name after marrying his current wife Shawna Craig. The couple wed two years ago - and he’s been known ever since as Lorenzo Lamas-Craig.
