News: Beyoncé Goes Platinum With New Album

After shattering sales records, Beyoncé's new self-titled album has already reached platinum after less than a week on iTunes.
Over 600k of the million were moved domestically. The album was released last Friday and created a firestorm of social media and press for the singer, which fueled the sales. Instead of traditional means, she delivered it to fans at retail through iTunes.
The album will formally hit retail today, Friday December 20th.
