Photos: An African Champions League quarter-final was marred with sadness at the weekend

An African Champions League quarter-final was marred with sadness at the weekend following a horrific injury.
Several Horoya AC players were left distraught at the sight of their goalkeeper's broken leg
Horoya AC lost their goalkeeper Khadim Ndiaye after he suffered a double leg break after colliding with his own team-mate. The injury to Senegal international Ndiaye followed an attempted slide tackle to clear the ball from goal. Unfortunately team-mate Boubacar Samassekou had the same idea and the incident resulted in the former's broken leg.
In an act of good faith though, the Guinean outfit have extended his contract for three years from 14 April to provide him with some more security.
The club confirmed on Sunday that Ndiaye had undergone surgery in Rabat.
As Ndiaye received treatment on the field, referee Bamlak Tessema could be seen distraught
