Treadmill for your dog

A dog is led onto a treadmill by a staff member at a newly opened luxury pet hotel in Singapore called ‘The Wagington’. Not only can the pets staying at this hotel use a treadmill, they can even get a ‘pawdicure’, should their owners request.

A bi-annual event celebrating goth culture, the Whitby Goth Weekend is held in Whitby, England. Fans from all over the globe donning their spookiest finery, gather to attend the festival that has been celebrated for two decades.

World Breastfeeding Week

On November 2, more than 50 cities in Greece participated in a synchronized breastfeeding initiative aimed at generating awareness among young mothers about the practice.

High-Wheel Bicycle Race

The clock turned back a few decades this week when members of the Czech high-wheel bicycle club met up in Prague for the traditional ‘Prague Mile’. Enthusiasts wore traditional clothing to participate in the race.

Sheep Parade

Day of the Dead

To honour and remember dead loved ones, Mexicans celebrate the Day of the Dead. Natives believe that the gates of heaven are opened at midnight on October 31, and the spirits of all deceased children (angelitos) are allowed to reunite with their families for 24 hours.

On-Ground Submarine

At the Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (Swiss Museum of Transport) in Luzern, Switzerland, the PX-8, also known as the Mésoscaphe, was presented. It was the world’s first tourist submarine and took 30,000 visitors in 1,100 dives in Lake Geneva.
