Who would ever believe that this kind of statement could come from Rihanna?

Oh well, I guess the saying is true....never judge a book by it's cover!!!

Rih is without a doubt one of the most daring and provocative young performers in pop.

Yet in a recent interview with ELLE Magazine - where she poses topless - Rihanna claims that the biggest misconception people have of her, is that she is shy.

The 26-year-old singer also revealed in the December issue of the title that if she wasn't a pop star she would be 'a wife' and claims that 'any man that tells me what to do is sexy!'.

The Bajan-beauty looks absolutely flawless in the accompanying photoshoot, wearing a selection of couture outfits.

In what is billed as one of her most shocking interviews, Rihanna also explains her hangover cure ('Ice, Chinese food! And an upside-down trash can and towels, preferably next to the toilet') and the last time she was left star-struck ('When I met Aaron Paul at the Spike awards'). 

Rihanna is currently putting the finishing touches to her eighth studio album, which is rumoured to be called Lost Files.

There has been much anticipation over the record, as it is the first time in her career that she has taken more than a year off before releasing new music.

Calvin Harris - who wrote one of her biggest hits We Found Love - recently confirmed that he will not feature on the record.

Speaking to The Sun he said: 'I did a few things for it but they don't get back to you. There are a lot of people involved!'

'She listens to everything - I know that - but she's got a strong idea and identity and an idea of what her album should sound like.'

There have been reports that the new album could drop as soon as 25 November, and feature another collaboration with rapper Eminem.

Last month fans were sent into overdrive as a tracklisting of the album surfaced on-line, although it is not clear if it was legitimate.

The listing featured a song Real Talk, which is said to be a collaboration with Drake.
