Who needs the Disney Channel when you’ve got the White House? President Obama’s teenage daughters Malia and Sasha earned a top spot on Time magazine’s 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014 — lauded for bringing some swag to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Malia, 16, and 13-year-old Sasha have grown up before the nation, with their ultra-protective parents guarding their teenage rites of passage like the nuclear launch codes.
Malia is an aspiring filmmaker who secretly slipped out of D.C. this summer for a Hollywood internship. She gained major press attention spending her sweet 16 in July out on the town in Los Angeles and she was also spotted among the revelers at Chicago’s Lollapalooza music fest.
Sasha, on the other hand, is a budding fashion influencer in her own right and has been noticed for her no-nonsense approach to her family’s presidential duties.
Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, 17, and reality star sisters Kylie Jenner, 17, and Kendall Jenner, 18 were also among those on the unranked list — compiled based on “social-media followings, cultural accolades, business acumen and more.”
