Photos: #ManchesterBombing: Celebrities & Politicians Let Their Feelings Out On Twitter
A concert in Manchester featuring pop chanteuse Ariana Grande became the target of a suicide bomber, who died bringing death and destruction to a crowd looking for fun and a music-filled night out.
Naturally, the reactions have been sad and supportive. Politicians positioning themselves for their respected constituencies are also making statements filled with respect and revenge. Whoever claims eventual responsibility – it could be ISIS, or some other terrorist organization – will be facing the typical backlash from the rest of the populace. Talk shows will take on the subject, while social media provides the consideration and comfort the victims and their families need now.
The music industry, as well as the rest of the entertainment media, have been letting their feelings be known. Presidents and Prime Ministers have been doing the same, using press conferences and speeches as a platform for addressing the horrifying tragedy. Here is what they have to say (from Twitter):
Ariana Grande
Katy Perry
Lorde
Taylor Swift
Nicki Minaj
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Bruno Mars
Ellen DeGeneres
Camila Cabello
Selena Gomez
