An actor whose numerous film credits include roles in the Star Wars and James Bond franchises passed away on Tuesday after collapsing while rehearsing for a new play.
Khan Bonfils, 42, affectionately referred to as Kan, was preparing for an upcoming production of Dante’s Inferno when he collapsed.
Paramedics and members of the Craft Theatre Company in East London fought in vain to save the actor’s life before he was pronounced dead.
‘Kan collapsed during a rehearsal and the director Rocky Rodriguez Jr, he performed CPR on location,’ he said.
‘An ambulance was called out but unfortunately he couldn't be resuscitated.’
The actor played Jedi master Saesee Tiln in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
