News: White House Investigating How Malia Obama’s Pro Era T-Shirt Selfie Hit The Internet

And now we present to you a teenager’s worst nightmare.
The White House is reportedly investigating how a selfie of First Daughter Malia Obama rocking a t-shirt of Joey Bada$$’s rap crew, Pro Era, made it onto the internet.
Thanks a lot, President Obama, aka DAD!

It’s no secret that the president and First Lady Michelle Obama limit Malia and Sasha’s social media access. I mean, they’re the president’s teenage kids after all. Operative word — teenagers.

And teenagers are pretty synonyms with selfies, amirite?

The photo first hit the web Monday when the Brooklyn rap collective Pro Era tweeted it, and it was quickly picked up by news blogs such as this fine publication. Though it hasn’t actually been confirmed that the photo is indeed of the First Daughter, Fox News reports that the White House is probing just how Pro Era got ahold of the photo. A representative for Joey Bada$$, one of the group’s members, told Gawker on Monday that they received it through a mutual friend of Malia and a Pro Era member.

Damn those mutual friends. Word to the White House from us here at TBW…maybe you should ask Malia. Just saying…
